WESTERN CHRISTMAS KICKS OFF IN JUST TWO WEEKS, NOV 2 – 4

This not to miss three-day event will feature fun for the entire family with live music, a fashion show, abundance of western shopping, pro cowboy and rodeo queen appearances, cowboy Santa photos, and more

BEND, OR – October 18, 2012 – The region’s signature holiday event, Western Christmas, embarks on Central Oregon November 2 with a weekend filled with a lineup of live music, hundreds of hand-selected western retailers, and an abundance of kids’ activities including the Les Schwab Parade of Ponies, kids dummy roping sponsored by Lone Star Ropes, appearances by pro-cowboy legends competing at the nearby PRCA Columbia River Circuit Finals Rodeo, pictures with Santa, and much more.

Not just for cowboys and cowgirls, the event is open to the public. Admission is $3 for adults, kids 12 and under free. The event will be held at our NEW location at 2895 SW 13th Street in Redmond, Oregon (just 1/2 mile from the fairgrounds).

Western Christmas wouldn’t be complete without a fashion show! This year’s event will also feature the biggest Western fashion show in the area at 3:00 pm on Saturday, November 3, debuting the hottest winter trends from popular western designers and brands such as Kippy’s, Manuel, Barn Fly, Buffalo Wings, Nocona boots, Cinch, Cruel Girl, Miss Me, ZPT silver jewelry, Hamley’s handmade chaps and chinks, and much more. Just some of the participating Western Christmas fashion retailers include Desperado, Long Live Cowgirls, High Desert Ranch and Home, Holy Cow Couture, and the famous Pendleton-based Hamley’s.

From jewelry to saddles to horse trailers, there will be something for everyone to explore this year. Vendors from Oregon, Washington, Idaho, California, Nevada, and Texas will include popular retailers such as Lone Star Ropes, Hamley’s, Holy Cow Couture, Miller Trailer Sales, and many others.
